Fishing this week has been very
good for trout. We have been catching quantity & quality.
From last Friday 4-18 we have been on some solid fish. Last
weekend we were fishing up & down the causeway. Some days
were excellent & some weren't. Two factors why the action
slowed & believe it or not it wasn't the wind! The reasons
1- too much boat action 2- a full moon. The good news is
that the trout are starting to show up in a lot of other
places now. It's that time of the year when fishing really
turns on everywhere. May is one of my favorite months to
fish. May consistently produces limits or near limits of
trout, but there are some big ones (6-9 pound trout) still
out there. We will be trying some new areas this next week.
The mid bay reefs in East bay should start producing some
good trout this week with the good weather. My brother & I
will be participating in some workshops & seminars at Bass
Pro Shops Pearland in May. You can check out their website
for the dates & times or call me & I'll be glad to fill you
in. We do these for our customers & people who want to learn
more about fishing & it's a great opportunity for you to ask
